Chanukah Stocking
This Chanukah stocking represents the blending of today’s homes and traditions. When teaching a Christmas Stocking class at a local yarn shop, I had a student return to class with a Chanukah Stocking. She eats Christmas dinner with friends and wanted to bring something as a gift to her hosts. A Christmas stocking in Chanukah colors and filled it with 8 small gifts was perfectl! The more we understand other heritages and traditions, the more we share the joys of all ways of life. Clear written instructions & easy-to-read graphs.
One size. Advanced beginner level.
Helpful video links & notes for those new to stranding are included on last page.

Smaller needles and gauge for worsted yarn keep the fabric tight and less likely to stretch when filled.

Note: I prefer to cut unused colors rather than carry them down the seam. Knitter can choose to carry rather than cut if desired. Just ignore the instructions to cut. Please read “Stranding Notes” on final page if new to stranded knitting, helpful hints will be found there.
