Charlie chick is a wonderful springtime and Easter pattern. He has a soft round huggable body and head and would make a lovely gift.

Charlie is knitted flat on straight needles and is seamed down the back. I have used chunky yarn on 4.5 mm needles for the pictured chick, but dk and aran yarn will also work for this pattern. i have advised on different needle sizes which are suitable for different yarn thicknesses in the pattern too.

Head and body are knitted in one piece so there is less sewing up at the end with only the feet, wings and beak to attach separately.

Charlie is able to sit up unaided and would look amazing in an Easter basket full of eggs. (chocolate of course!)
