This pattern is available for FREE as a 12-week photo-tutorial crochet-along HERE on my blog.

Please note that the paid PDF is an English written-only, US version of the pattern. It contains only a few photos that I have deemed essential for the execution of the blanket. It also contains round-by-round charts by the talented Masako Kawahara.

This PDF also includes:

  • an Appendix for the Pink Charlie Colourway (with instructions for the three Bonus Rounds)
  • a Colouring-in Template for the blanket to help you plan colour placement
  • a Colours per Round Template to help you record your colours per round if you are using more than three colours.
  • links to the video tutorial, the photo tutorials for each part, and the online community that has grown around Charlotte

As a further aid, you will also receive a Special Stitches and Techniques PDF with photo tutorials for all the special stitches and techniques described in the written-only PDF.

Charlotte’s Universe is a 12-week crochet-along that started on the 1st of August 2021.

It is a continuous square blanket with a lot of floral/lace detail.

INSTRUCTIONS
The pattern is presented as a FREE 12-week photo tutorial, with charts by Masako Kawahara and videos by Esther Dijkstra. After many requests, I have now also added a paid written-only PDF version of the pattern.

MATERIALS
We have created three official colourways, but you are, of course, welcome to use whatever hook/yarn combination you desire. A colouring in template is provided to help you decide on colour placement.

Two of the colourways (Vintage and Sunshine) use a 4mm hook and Scheepjes Softfun Aquarel/Denim. The third colourway (Pink Charlie) uses a 3.5mm hook and Scheepjes Woolly Whirl/Whirlette.

Yarn packs for those are available in my Wool Warehouse Shop.

DIFFICULTY
Intermediate - Although this is an advanced pattern, it has been specifically written for adventurous beginners

SIZE
Vintage and Sunshine: 160cm (63”)
Pink Charlie: 130cm(51”)
