Charming Shawls on a Spring Day
Charming Shawls on a Spring Day was designed, surprisingly enough, while dreaming of spring as I watched the snow fall in late winter, a winter that felt like it would never end.
It’s a simple, top down shawl, that’s begun with a stockinette section that can be made as big or as small as you like, and then a simple mesh edging is added. This design is simple to make any size, using any weight of yarn, and works well for scraps or stash-busting.
Gauge in fingering weight is: 15 sts=4”/10.4 cm in stockinette stitch. Exact gauge isn’t critical.
Sample measured 25” deep by 70” across after heavy blocking, using less than one skein of Lion Brand Sock-Ease (100 grams, 75% wool, 25% nylon, 438 yards/400 meters).

Many extra thanks as well to AshwiniJ for her tech editing skills!
