CHATTRA is the Sanskrit name for the Parasol, one of the Ashtamangala, the Eight Auspicious Signs in Tibetan Buddhism. The Parasol is a symbol of protection and regality: this shrug is named after it as a good omen and as well as a tribute to the Tibetan culture.

Knitted in Myak Lace, a pure cashmere yarn spun from ethically sourced fibers from the Tibetan Plateau, Chattra combines the elegance of the lace panels and the softness of the yarn in an enveloping and refined garment.

MATERIALS
○ Yarn: 3 (3, 4, 4) skeins of mYak Lace (100% pure Tibetan
cashmere) – 50 g / 329 m or 360 yd
○ For the body: 3.25 mm (US 10) circular needles with a 80 cm (32”) long cable
○ For the sleeves: a set of 3.25 mm (US 10) DPNs or mini circular needles (23 cm – 9”) or long circular needles for magic loop
○ Tapestry needle
○ Waste yarn
○ 3.00 mm (D-3) crochet hook
○ 2 stitch markers
