This is a fun checkered scarf with a loop stitch cuff. Detailed photos and instructions are given for creating the loop stitch and working with color blocking.

The same pattern instructions are followed for both the large and the small scarf, you just need to change the yarn and hook size depending on the size of the scarf you want to create. The larger scarf is worked using worsted weight yarn and the 6.00mm/J hook (gauge: 6 single crochet by 6 rows = 2 inches square); the smaller size scarf is worked using sports weight yarn and the 5.00mm/H hook (gauge: 8 single crochet by 9 rows = 2 inches square).

For the larger scarf: Red Heart Super Saver, 1 ball each color #319 / Cherry Red; color #300 / White.

For the smaller scarf: Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby, 1 ball each color #591 / Posy; color #702 / Rosie.
