Cheeky Frog Doll
Cheeky Frog Doll is a member of my Cheeky Line of Amigurumi doll patterns (little dolls with big personality and a cheeky little surprise).
MATERIALS
- Worsted weight yarn (medium 4)
- I used 18 g (.64 oz) of Loops & Threads, Impeccable in Heather for the skin tone
- I used 69 g (2.42 oz) of Bernat, Premium in Spring Green as my main color
- The eyeballs took 3.5 g (.12 oz) of Loops & Threads, Impeccable in White
- 4mm hook
- Fiberfill
- 10 mm doll safety eyes in black (Not for children under 3. If you are making this for a smaller child please embroider or needle felt the eyes on)
- 15 mm cat safety eyes in green (Not for children under 3. If you are making this for a smaller child please embroider or needle felt the eyes on)
- Two 11mm buttons for the butt flap (the button holes will accommodate up to a 13mm button)
- Doll making needle (or whatever needle you like to hide your ends)
- Optional: a dap of blush for all four cheeks (or a fabric crayon if you want to make sure it’s a bit more permanent)
GAUGE
Gauge is not important for this pattern. Just make sure it’s tight so your fiberfill doesn’t show through your stitches. If you are a loose hooker, you might want to go down an additional hook size to compensate for this.
Please make sure that your yarns are a very similar weight. There can be quite a difference within the 4 weight category. This can throw off the fit of the hat.
