Brighten your room with this cheery knitted rainbow. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this knitting pattern uses acrylic DK weight yarns and worked flat on single pointed needles (not in the round). This knit uses stockinette stitch, knitted stripes, and a few increases and decreases to make an adorable toy. You could also use your rainbow as an ornament or desk buddy. The rainbow is knit with the front and back in one piece, with a separate knitted base, legs and feet.

NEEDLES:
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour.

NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, toy safety eyes and stitch markers.

SIZES:
One size only - The rainbow measures 24cm across and 16cm tall.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, knitting stripes, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
