This pattern is a part of Knit Picks Independent Designer Program. The pattern is professionally proofread and edited by Joan Beebe.

Cherry on Top Cardigan is worked from the bottom up as one piece. The sleeves are worked from the picked up along the body stitches and worked in rounds. This type of construction allows to avoid seaming (the only seams are shoulder seams) and to adjust sleeve length as the child grows. This is a classic cardigan with 1x1 ribbed neck, bottom and sleeve bands. The closure is worked in garter stitch. Buttons should be in a contrasting color.

Skills required: cabling, knitting in rounds with dpns, ability to maintain established pattern.
