This shawl pattern features an airy all‑over diamond motif created by combining basic crochet techniques.
It includes instructions for two designs: a triangular shawl and a chevron‑shaped shawl.

Triangular Shawl
The triangular version begins at the tip and grows naturally as the pattern expands.
The long edge forms a scalloped border, adding a charming accent when the shawl is wrapped around the shoulders.
The sample piece shown in the photos was made using two skeins of Woolly batt “1ply lace.”
Because this yarn retains some of the natural oils from the spinning process, the finished piece is washed with a wool detergent to complete it.
After washing, the fabric transforms into wool’s characteristic fluffy and beautifully textured finish.

Chevron‑Shaped Shawl
The chevron version starts as a triangle but takes a twist—partway through, the work splits into left and right sections to form the chevron shape.
The result is a uniquely structured shawl that sits comfortably on the shoulders and can be styled in many different ways.

Pattern Notes
The rhombic motif has a pleasant level of openness, making this pattern suitable for all seasons.
It works beautifully not only with wool and alpaca but also with linen, cotton, silk, and other fibers.
Choose your favorite lace‑weight yarn and enjoy the process.
