Chevron Jacket 8231
This comfortably oversized coat, designed to be knit in either Hayfield Bonus Aran Tweed or Bonus Aran, is worked in one piece to the armholes before separating into 3 sections -- back, right front, and left front. The raglan sleeves are knit flat and seamed to the body. A thin shawl collar along the curved v-neck matches the cuffs and hems in moss stitch. The chevron stitch pattern is offered in both written and chart forms.
TENSION
- Moss stitch (UK term) = Seed stitch (USA term)
- 18 sts and 24 rows to 10cm, (4in) over stocking stitch on 5mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.
