Chevron Linier Sweater
A beautiful drapey top in delicate but easy-to-knit lace. Perfect for lounging around or dressed up occasions, it’s super comfy and very flattering. Knitted flat, this pattern is suitable for those new to lace.
There are 2 versions of this sweater – version A has full lace on the body and ribbed sleeves. Version B has a wide lace border and plain sleeves.
Yarn and Materials –
250g ‘Cloud Forest Yarns’ fingering weight / 4 ply yarn. (50g is for sleeves) -This yarn is available at www.cloudforestyarns.etsy.com
The sample uses 100% Extra Fine Merino in Orchid.
4.5mm needles, long straights or circular.
Yarn needle to sew seams and ends.
Sizing –
One Size but easily adjustable. Sample is approx. 40cm (16”) long, 80cm (31”) wide in body, sleeves are 19cm (7.5”) long with a circumference of 34 cm (13.5”) when rib is stretched. Measurements taken after blocking.
Abbreviations –
St/Sts – Stitch / Stitches.
RS / WS – right side / wrong side.
K1 / P1 – Knit one stitch / Purl one stitch.
Yo – wrap yarn around right needle once to create new stitch.
S2kp – Slip 2 sts together knitwise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitches over the knitted stitch.
