Chevrons are hot and happening! This fun pattern is visible everywhere around us and now it can protect your tablet too. The Chevron madness iPad sleeve will protect your tablet from scratches and provides some nice cushioning from falls. Pick several different bright colors for a fun happy sleeve, or stick with 2 contrasting colors for a bold statement piece.
The pattern includes instructions for 2 different styles of flap: an envelope style flap that closes by tucking the flap in or a buttoned flap. Yardages given are calculated based on 5 contrasting colors (CC 1-5) and a contrasting flap (CC5).
This pattern was written for a iPad 1,2,3, and 4 and iPad Air. Instructions are given to change the height and width of the ipad sleeve.
Measurements of iPad 2:
Height: 241 mm (9.50 inch)
Width: 186 mm (7.31 inch)
Depth: 8.6 mm (0.34 inch)
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch and 7 rows per inch in stockinette (worked flat)
Materials:
• 95 meters (103 yards) of aran weight yarn (MC).
• 25 meters (27 yards) of aran weight yarn in contrasting colors (CC 5).
• 10 Meters (11 yards) of aran weight yarn in 4 contrasting colors (CC 1, 2, 3, 4).
• 3.75 mm (US 5) double point needles or circular needles.
• 4.00 mm (US 6) double point needle or circular needles.
• Tapestry needle.
• Optional: 2 buttons.
