Having been generously provided with a gorgeous bulky yarn from Nashua, I wanted to create something that was a little unexpected. Knitting lace in a bulky yarn? With cables? Why not? The resulting hat is both uniquely stylish and comfortably warm, and the whole thing knits up in only 34 rounds on large needles.

Love the stitch pattern, but berets not for you? I have also featured this cable & lace motif pattern on my Chi-Chi Cowl!
