This cabled helmet was designed for the #6166 Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK brochure by Sirdar. The textured hat is knitted in one piece from the bottom of the head, then worked up to the top. Garter stitches are then picked up at the bottom and continued with each ear flap before seaming. Twisted cords add the final touch.

This hat is sold together with its matching pullover sweater in a single brochure.

TENSION

• 22 stitches by 28 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in stocking stitch AND
• 24 stitches by 29 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in cable pattern on 4mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
