A very simple, quick and easy crochet pattern for Easter! Crochet these peeps with worsted weight yarn or that super soft Bernat Blanket yarn!
You will need:
- Crochet hook G/4.0mm & J/6.0mm
- Yarn needle
- Fiberfill stuffing
- 6mm or 9mm safety eyes
- An extra 6mm or 9mm eye to use for the nose
- #4 medium worsted weight yarn or #6 super bulky yarn (see blog post for details)
Notes:
- Finished size: Peep with worsted weight yarn: 3.1” wide x 6.4” height; Peep with blanket yarn: 4.6” wide x 11.5” height
- The ch 1 at the end of each row does not count as a stitch.
- Use G hook & 6mm eyes/nose for worsted weight yarn peep.
- Use J hook & 9mm eyes/nose for blanket yarn peep.
- Each peep is worked flat, in two panels, then stuffed and joined together with single crochets all around.
- Please embroider the eyes and nose if giving bunny to young children or pets, as safety eyes can pose as a choking hazard. You may also cut out small circles from felt and stick on bunny with hot glue.
Format:
- This crochet pattern is in PDF format (4 pages) and includes clearly written instructions (easy for beginners to understand), progress photos and stitch count for every round.
- Doriyumi patterns are always written using standard U.S. crochet terminology. An abbreviation chart in U.S. versus U.K./Canada terminology is included in the pattern for your reference.
