Crochet your own adorable ox with floppy hair, sweet little horns, ears, hooves and a bell! This amigurumi ox is fun to work up with a unique construction method and is the perfect gift for your loved ones born in the Year of the Ox!
Note that the free crochet pattern can be found HERE and there are two step-by-step tutorials that contain detailed pictures:
- Part 1 covers how to crochet the body, dividing into four leg chains, and crocheting each leg and can be found HERE.
- Part 2 covers how to crochet the snout, hair, hooves, belly, horns, ears and tail and can be found HERE.
I used approximately: 45 g of “Tan” Coboo, 5 g of “White” Coboo, and 3 g of “Taupe” Coboo. The hair was crocheted using 3 g of “Moco Cafe Soft & Fluffy knitting Yarn” in “Mocha latte” from Daiso.
We started a fun tradition of designing the zodiac amigurumi of that year since January 2011. So far, we have: Lamb, Dragon, Rooster, Monkey, Pony, Snake, Rat, Dog, Chinese New Year Doll, Pig and now OX (we have two left to go: Tiger & Rabbit)! They are all available as free patterns on my blog or as PDF’s here on Ravelry (condensed documents that contain all the step-by-step pictures). Enjoy these zodiac amigurumi designs!
