This cute chicks baby hat has a roll brim and a garter stitch body with a stocking stitch ‘circle’ for the chirpy chicks motif. The chicks are added using duplicate stitch once the hat has been knit, however they could be added whilst knitting by using the intarsia method. Beads are used for the chicks’ eyes, but these could be replaced by a couple of duplicate stitches in a dark shade yarn. The hat is knit flat on two needles with a seam at the back.
