Chisaki hat
When one travels to Japan, it is customary to bring presents to one’s hosts and to professional contacts. A family member, while preparing for a two-week collaboration visit, reminded me that the Japanese collaborator had a 14-month-old baby (named Chisaki). I am acquainted with both of Chisaki’s parents, so thought I’d better whip out a hat to send to Japan with my family member. Surprisingly, the hat I had in mind was not in the Ravelry database already---thus, this pattern. It combines a rolled brim with jogless stripes and a slightly curled hat-tip.
The pattern uses 30--50 yards (or 30--50 grams, conveniently) of each of two yarn colors.
Stitches used are knit, slip-slip-knit, and slip.
A stitch marker is helpful for this pattern.
