Make a cute chicken (or several!) to keep your little Easter eggs cosy. Designed to fit Cadbury Creme Egg size treat or similar. You only need small amounts of yarn to complete one chicken.
Pattern uses UK terms

Yarn: Aran weight cotton (designed with Rico Creative Cotton Aran), crocheted with a smaller hook than the recommended size in order to give a firm fabric.

Other materials: 6mm safety eyes

Hook: 3.5mm (or size required to create a firm fabric)

Size: Finished chicken approx. 4” beak to tail x 2.5” to top of comb. Size of body (to fit egg) approx. 1.5” tall x 2” long

Techniques/stitches used: Magic ring, chain, slip stitch, double, half treble and treble crochet (USA: single, half double and double crochet)
