This lacy wisp of a crocheted cloud is perfect for a christening or other special occasion for baby.

This is an easy intermediate pattern. The center portion of the blanket is crocheted back and forth in rows, in a pattern of simple shell variations and single crochets. The border is then crocheted onto the center in rounds.

Special stitches used include decreases and picots, described in detail in the instructions.

You will need only one skein of MadelineTosh Lace, but any lace weight yarn will work for the wispy cloud effect. Finished size using lace weight is 24” x 29”. Or, use a thicker yarn for a bigger blanket.
