Christiana Skirt
Worked in two similar colors, this skirt has a sophisticated monochromatic look. The squares are easy to work and quick to memorize, so even a beginner could pull this look off. I love to use vintage buttons for projects like these--it’s a great place to showcase some little treasures.
Gauge: one granny square = 5” (12.5 cm) square.
Notions: Tapestry needle, six .5” (1.3 cm) buttons; .5 (.5, 1, 1, 1) yd (45.5 45.5, 91.5, 91.5, 91.5 cm) knit fabric for lining; sewing needle and thread.
Notes: To have fewer ends to weave in at the end, crochet over the ends as you go. Simply lay yarn tails along top edge of previous row and work stitches over them to encase them.
To adjust waist circumference, work fewer or more stitches between decreases.
