Christmas Boot
This is a vintage Christmas decoration from 1982. There is no gauge or specific size. However, the hook suggested was G and medium weight yarn, using this gave me a boot that was 6 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. I also used a lighter weight yarn and an F hook, which gave me a boot that was 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The pattern calls for 2 oz’s. of Ombre Christmas yarn, and 1 oz of white yarn. After you put the pattern together you will be making a chain of 110 stitches for the lacing up the front of the boot. In addition to the yarn, you may want to have some fabric glue on hand and decorative pom pom’s. You will also need a 16 oz. glass to insert into the boot to hold the candy. Stitches used are as follows:
ch (chain) sk (skip)
sc(single crochet) dc (double crochet)
