Cat and Dog each have a snuggly Christmas jumper to wear to keep them cosy for the holidays. The toys are knitted in the round, so this is an ideal project for knitters who dislike seaming. The sweaters are knitted flat on single pointed needles.

Double knitting/light worsted weight

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm (US 4) straight single pointed knitting needles
A set of 3.5mm (US 4) DPNs or circular for magic loop

A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
9mm domed black buttons for eyes

TECHNIQUES
Work the cat and dog in the round on a set of DPNs or circulars for magic loop
Work the sweaters flat on single pointed needles (not in the round), and decorate with Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) embroidery.
Other techniques include casting on and off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, and a little seaming to finish.
