Chroi is named after the Irish word for heart. The “heart” section across the chest flows in and out of the lace pattern that is otherwise repeated as the main fabric of the cardigan.

Chroi is worked in one piece from the bottom up, then split while fronts and back are each worked separately. Sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up. Trims are picked up and worked to finish.
