The whimsical Chrysalis Pullover is a super-bulky, super-soft cocoon of a sweater that will keep you warm this winter. The large central cable and bobbles remind us of a lepidopteran transformation, but despite its quirk, the design still has all the elements of a classic pullover. This sweater is worked from the bottom up in pieces and has a natural V-neck created by the cable split.

Yarn Woolfolk Hygge (50% Ovis 21 ultimate merino wool, 28% superbaby alpaca, 22% mulberry silk; 76 yd / 3½ oz): #18 beige, 9 (10, 12, 13, 14) skeins.

Needles Sizes 13 (9 mm) and 15 (10 mm): 24” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; removable markers; waste yarn for tubular CO; cable needle; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 8½ sts and 13 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle.

NOTES

• The body of this pullover is worked back and forth in separate pieces and seamed. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole and the sleeves are worked back and forth from the top down. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
• Because of the large stitch gauge, selvedge stitches are included in schematic measurements but not in the finished size.
