The Chrysanthemum poncho with a loose fit feels extremely comfortable to wear all year round with a wide neckline opening and generously sized body. Depending on season, wear a tank, a long sleeve tee, blouse or sweater under it, it’s pretty versatile so you can wear it really year round~

The poncho is knitted top down and the pattern is fully written and includes a chart for the stranded motif. Learn about catching the floats in the back used in the stranded knitting portion on page 4 of the pattern.

One size fits most. Neckline 24”, length 18.5” and 87” around the bottom edge.

Yarn
Bamboo+, a sport weight blend of bamboo/cotton. 272 yards/100 grams a skein.
C1 - Creme 2 skeins, C2 - Coral 1 skein used here.

US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles
One 16” (41 cm) long and one 36” (91 cm) long.
13 stitch markers, one special beginning of round marker.
Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge
20 sts and 26 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied
Knitting in the round from the top down, increasing, stranded knitting, yarn/color changes, binding off with two yarns held together, weaving in ends and blocking.
