Chunky Bolero
Whether you are layering for colder days or getting
ready for warmer weather, this wrap-style cardigan is
a wardrobe staple and is a great pattern for people just
starting to make garments.
MATERIALS
King Cole Forest
Recycled Aran,
35% wool/20% acrylic/
20% polyamide/
25% viscose,
100g/300m/328yds
Shade: Kielder Forest 1916
x 4 balls
5.5mm hook
YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any aran-weight
yarn to achieve a similar
effect.
TENSION
Work approximately 9htr and
4 rows to measure 5 x 5cm/
2 x 2in using 5.5mm hook,
or size required to obtain
tension.
MEASUREMENTS
Approximate finished
size when laid flat:
103 x 91.5cm/41 x 36in.
One size fits most people
but the overall size of the
garment can be increased
by increasing the starting ch
by groups of 5ch. Ensure you
have a foundation chain that
is a multiple of 5ch + 3.
