This pattern is no longer available for free on The Knitter website. It is now available instead as part of a kit in Jamieson & Smith’s online shop.

The instructions (and kit from Jamieson & Smith) underestimate the number of skeins of the main color. I ran short after completing the yoke, even though I was making the medium size. I had added 1” to the sleeve length -- yes, an addition, but still, ONE INCH. When I ran out, I still needed to knit the top of the sweater, the collar and the two front bands. Clearly, there was not enough yarn to begin with. I recommend you buy an extra skein of the main color, especially if you’re making a larger size.

Also, there is a mistake in the written instructions, which tell you to pick up the First Contrast Color after you finish the yoke. Instead, you should pick up the Main Color. If you follow the instructions, the top of your sweater, including the collar, will be different from the main body!
