Chunky Hand-Knit
This chunky jacket is perfect protection against the biting winds as it is knitted in double wool for extra warmth and hard wear. Deep armholes, a warm roll collar and a deep welt are fashion points.
MATERIALS: 21 oz Paton’s double quick knitting wool; 1 pair each Nos. 1 and 3 needles; 1 16in open-end lightning slide fastener.
MEASUREMENTS: To fit 34in bust; length from top of shoulder, 20in; length of sleeve seam, 17in.
TENSION: To get these measurements it is absolutely necessary to work at a tension to produce 3½ sts. with double wool to one square inch on No. 1 needles.
This design is worked in one piece up to armhole shaping in double wool throughout.
