My scarf is knit doublestranded with worsted weight yarn from my stash. Use whatever worsted weight you wish, or if you prefer not to work with two strands, choose a super bulky yarn like Malabrigo Rasta, and only buy half the recommended yardage. I also recommend that you cut your fringe first, as you may then knit to the end of your yarn, if you wish.
