The full-width end is a perfect canvas for playing with stitch patterns and colorwork charts. Plump ribbing details add a relaxed, sporty vibe. Choose a soft chunky yarn that’s lofty, cuddly, and pretty.

Yarn:

Poncho body: Approx. 650 yds/594m of a soft, chunky-weight yarn with good drape.
Optional turtleneck: Approx. 120 yds/110m of your chosen yarn.

Solid gray version: 7 skeins Wool and the Gang Alpachino Merino (110 yds/100m each); shown with turtleneck in Color Tweed Grey.

Striped version: 3 skeins Lang Cloud (284 yds/260m each); shown without turtleneck in Color 12.

Gauge:

13 sts/approx. 20 rows = 4”/10cm in st st, after blocking, pressing, and resting (see ‘Finishing’, page 3).

Note: Remember, you’ll use your own blocked row gauge to determine number of rows to knit.
To achieve 24”/62 cm of length, we knit 120 rows. However, one of our knitters only needed 100 rows at her personal row gauge-- this does matter!
