This pattern is only available to Supersock World Championship Round 1 finishers until September 2026.

A combination of a twisting cable and a lace panel reminded me of a childhood board game which originated in India, was brought to the UK by colonialists, and renamed on its commercial introduction to the US. It is this latter incarnation which has given its name to this pattern (avoiding the references to cold blooded reptiles!).

The socks are worked top down with a heel flap, and the pattern is best seen in a solid /semi-solid yarn.
