Ciara is a popular Scottish girls name, meaning “little dark one”. The male form is Ciaran.

It is a simple, attractive textured pullover with a decorative twisted stitch ribbing, waist shaping, dropped shoulders and a deep, round neckline.

It is worked in the round from hem to armholes, then finished flat for front and back. The set in sleeves are worked flat.

The pattern is suitable for a wide range of DK weight yarns with a good stitch definition. The yarn used here is

Artesano DK Blue faced Leicester, 100% wool, 120 yds (110m) per 50g.
