Cili
Cili is designed to maximize the effect of one highly-colored skein of yarn against a plain background. The possibilities for yarn choices are really endless here -- a single-ply South American handspun yarn almost identical to Malabrigo was used for the body, and Kaffe Fassett’s Rowan Colourscape for the trim in the sample, but you could use a solid Manos del Uruguay with a multi Manos, Brown Sheep Bulky and Malabrigo…the sky’s the limit!
In addition, the collar styling creates a very flexible, interesting effect. When the long piece is wrapped all the way around the neck and fastened, it’s closed like a jacket. When unwound and wrapped in the other direction, the weight of the collar piece will stay put on your other shoulder. Or, just throw the long piece over your shoulder, loose, to create a lapel and potato-chip-scarf-like curl that floats down your back.
Cili is a simple knit and directions are written for all sizes.
