Designed for my friend Cilla as a trade for a sketch of an apple. I worked out the details of the 7x7 rib through the provisional cast-on while climbing a long hill on a bike up Cilley Hill Road.
The scarf can be any length and width in any gauge.
It drapes a little better with light or no blocking and a slightly loose gauge.
Alternate bind-off methods:
- Moss stitch - on the last row switch to (K P)* for 1 row, then to P K for the decrease bind-off. This creates a little edge to the scarf and it does not roll as much,
OR
- use Rox’s Outline stitch bind-off for a thin edge that does roll a little.
