These cuff-down socks are knit using slip stitches to create the colorwork pattern. The main mosaic pattern is both written and charted. The pattern has been tech edited by Kate Vanover, k2togkate. Thank you to all my test knitters for your invaluable input.
Skill Level: Intermediate/Experienced sock knitter
Sizes: Woman’s Small, Medium and Large. Directions are written for size S with changes for size M and L in parentheses.
Note: For sizing, measure your foot circumference around the widest part of foot. Socks will stretch to fit up to the following: Small (up to approx. 7.75 inches), Medium (up to approx. 9.25 inches) and Large (up to approx. 10.25 inches).
Gauge: 7.5 stitches to the inch in stockinette stitch
Materials:
- US 1.5 (2.5mm) circular or double pointed needles or size to obtain gauge
- 6-8 stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Yarn: approx. 200 -250 yards fingering weight yarn for main color (MC) and 100-150 yards fingering weight yarn for contrast color. Used in photo: Sun Valley Fiber Farm Merino/Nylon Fingering (MC: Meadow, CC: Royalty)
