Cirrostratus Cowl
Cirrostratus clouds are light wisps that spread out high up in the troposphere. This cowl takes several characteristics from them -- it’s large, thin, and light. The silk mohair worked at such a large gauge creates a slight fuzzy (or hazy) look. However, unlike the clouds that are composed of ice crystals, this cowl will keep you warm and toasty.
Wear it however you wish. I like to twist it upon itself and wear it doubled. Loop it through itself to create a small scarf. While my shoulder width is small, it might be fun to create a gather at one shoulder with a shawl pin and wear it as a poncho.
The long color changes of the ombre help you to change up the look without crocheting a new one--as you loop the cowl, decide which colors you want in front. It is a straightforward design and worked in the round, it’s a project that’s great for working on while watching TV or listening to audio (books/podcasts).
