CITY-Stole
architecture fascinates me a lot!
Combining this fascination with
my passion for “Lace” was only a matter of time.
Enjoy strolling through this city of stitches
and yarnovers!

For knitters how want to lengthen the stole, for what reason ever, I putted up this little chart. Intermezzo Chart
Knit this chart between Part1 and Part2 of the original pattern. Repeat it as often as you like and depending on how much you’d like to lengthen the stole.
Errata:
If you downloaded this pattern before 27th October 2009 (city-stole-en.pdf) there is one symbol missing in the symbol-legend:
^ you may work this exactly the same way as the other double decrease symbol (Δ) or if you want to bring more interest into your knitting routine you may work it as
slip 1 knitwise, knit 2 together, pass slipstitch over k2t.

I chose sockyarn for this design because I wanted the stole to be absolutely versatile and durable, knitted for wearing it whether day or night, free time or business. This sockyarn is slightly thinner than the yarn I usually knit my socks with, and shows a nice stitchdefinition.
I would not recommend using laceweight yarn because the fabric shouldn’t be airy and light but compact and smooth to support the character of the design.
