City Sun Shawl
City Sun Shawl is a half circle with pie shaped sections separated by eyelet increases. This is a 3 color shawl with a garter stitch fade, slipped stitches creating faux colorwork, and eyelet lace. This design is for beginners! I created this design for the Brooklyn Local Yarn Shops and Local Yarn shops everywhere! City Sun Summer forecast is sunny, bright, breezy and super easy.

3.75 mm/US 5 circular needle , 120 cm/ 47 in length or size needed to obtain the correct gauge.
Size G/4.00 mm crochet hook.
Notions:
5 stitch markers (one must open to indicate right side of fabric), tapestry needle. Row counter. (recommended)
Gauge:
24 stitches and 23 ridges or 46 rows = 4” in garter stitch on US 5 needles unblocked (or size needed to obtain gauge).
Finished Measurements: Wingspan: 173 cm/68 in. Depth at center back: 56 cm/22 in.
The hardest part about this pattern is keeping track of your rows and which side you are on. It is extremely helpful to put a removable stitch marker on the right side of the fabric to remind you. Do not worry too much if your stitch count is off by a stitch or 2. Just increase in the section that needs it to catch up.
I have listed the yarns I used but ANY fingering weight yarn will be beautiful!
