A quick-to-knit, cozy, slouchy hat with a classic ribbing detail that extends up into the body of the hat resembling the skyline of a city.

Knit with three strands of a soft worsted weight yarn held together, this beginner hat is made using just knits and purls.

I use 16” circular needles but I know they can be hard to find in the 12mm size. The Cityscape Slouch can easily be knit with a longer cord and the magic loop method. I really recommend three strands of a softer yarn to get a nice drape to the fabric of the hat, as opposed to 1 strand super bulky. For ease, I knit from three separate full balls of yarn, but to save money you can also wind three smaller ball off one full one.
