Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Finished Measurements: Dishcloth, about 6 3/4 inches square after blocking; Hotpad, about 7 inches square.

Yarn: King Cole Cottonsmooth DK (100% Mercerized Cotton; 218 yds; 100 g; yarn weight category: 2/Fine/Sport) About 60 yds #3522 Pale Pink for the dishcloth; about 125 yds for the hotpad.

This yarn is labeled as a 3/DK/Light. At 19 WPI it falls closer to a 2/Fine/Sport weight yarn. If you are substituting with a different yarn, use one in this smaller weight category for best results.

Crochet Hook: F (3.75 mm), or size needed to match gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle

Gauge: 20 sts x 11 rows = About 4 inches in 3 x 1 Waffle Stitch.
