Clark Street Cowl
Texture and color make the Clark Street Cowl fun to knit and fun to wear. Faux cables interspersed with a textured rib pattern, keep things interesting while you knit, and add great visual texture. The pop of a contrasting color make it stand out from the crowd, and you can make a hat and cowl set with this and the Clark Street Hat. Both patterns are available as single patterns or together in the Clark Street Hat & Cowl eBook.
Clark Street was a street near my house when I was growing up, in NYC. I passed it every day - on my way to school, on my way to the subway stop nearest my house, on my way to the local movie theater. There were tall buildings on either side of the street, and the wind used to whistle down between the buildings, and find its way into the collar of my coat, making me wish I had remembered to bring a hat and scarf with me as I ran out of the house. This cowl, and its matching hat, are the accessories I wish I had had back in those days. Now you can choose two skeins of yarn in complimentary colors (so many color combos to choose from!!), and the wind will never bother you again, whether you walk between tall buildings or not.
