Clarke is a luxe, oversized shawl and is perfect for wrapping around your shoulders when the air is brisk and you’re longing for something cozy to wear. It is named for Lake Clarke, a part of the Susquehanna River in south-central Pennsylvania, near where Yorkshire Medley is hand-dyed by the amazing women behind Flying Fibers Yarn Company.

Always use the needle size that results in the correct gauge. Gently wash and block your swatch before measuring.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This shawl is knit flat from the top-down, beginning with a garter tab cast-on. Increases are worked only on right side rows. This increase section is both written and charted for your convenience. Columns of cables and garter emerge from a central cable spine down the center of the shawl. It is finished with a garter border and is bound off using the suspended method to create a more elastic edge.
