Yarn: 80 (100, 125, 150, 175) yards of dk weight yarn
We used 1 skein of June Cashmere DK in “Black Cherry” to make the adult small size.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm 16” circulars (for Child–Adult Large sizes)
US 6 / 4 mm double pointed needles
or 32–40” circulars (for all sizes)
or equivalent types & lengths in size needed to obtain gauge

Notions: 1 stitch marker, darning needle, scissors, measuring tape

Gauge: 5.5 sts & 8 rows per inch in stockinette after machine washing

June Cashmere DK blooms beautifully after being machine washed once. If you are using this yarn we recommend knitting a gauge swatch, machine washing it once, then measuring it to make sure you’re getting the correct gauge. If you are not using June Cashmere DK, we suggest measuring your gauge swatch before blocking or washing, and not blocking or washing your finished hat either (it will stay stretchy that way!).
