Classic Jersey in Lozenge Pattern
“Classic, round neck, long sleeved pullover, worked in an unusual two-color lozenge pattern.”
Gauge is in lozenge stitch pattern with larger needles.
Requires (8, 8, 9) balls of the main color and (3, 3, 4) balls of the contrast color.
This sweater is done by using a drop-stitch technique, but the result looks more like mosaic knitting, with an allover two-color pattern that looks something like a honeycomb. The original pattern calls for an eggshell color for the MC and a reddish brown for the CC. The narrow sleeve borders and hem are done in ribbing in the main color, as is the mock turtleneck. The sweater is hip-length and should probably be made with either no ease or with negative ease, though it is not shaped.
