Cloud Baby Booties
Tiny baby booties for your newborn! These little booties are made within a short time (it took me approximately an hour to make the set), and will keep your baby’s little feet toasty warm.
The booties are worked like a toe up sock, starting with a seamless cast on and featuring a short row heel.
I’ve only written this pattern for a size 0-3 months so far, and please note that it has NOT been tech edited nor test knitted. That’s why I’m offering it for free for now. I would be very thankful to get a note from you if you find any mistakes, typos or issues!
Yarn: Sample uses a light blow yarn, but can be worked in any worsted/aran weight yarn with the approximate same yardage and gauge. An alternative to the yarn used could be Camarose Snefnug, which is a lovely alpaca/merino/cotton blend.
Yarn used: Lang Yarns Cloud (90% merino, 10% nylon/polyester), 260 meters / 284 yards per 100g, just a bit of left overs (in total I used about 15g / 40 meters / 43 yards for the sample). Colorway used: 1077.0005.
Needles: 5,5 mm / US 9 circulars for magic loop method, or three double pointed needles.
Other: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge: Sample uses gauge of 16 sts & 26 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch, worked in the round.
Size: To fit a baby of 0-3 months with plenty of positive ease. Foot length is approximately 9 cm / 3.5 inches, but can be adjusted.
