Do you have a yarn cake laying around and would you like to crochet a fabulous shawl with it? This crochet pattern is specially designed to use a large yarn cake. To make this crochet shawl I have used Scheepjes Whirl, colour Peppermint Patty Cake (no 775).

Suggested crochet hook: 3mm (US D/3, UK 11).

Shape: triangular, with slightly curved edges and tips.

Gauge is a little difficult to list for this stitch pattern. If your yarn is fingering weight or light fingering weight, it will work perfectly. As for which crochet hook to use, you can determine this by working up a swatch of only DC (US). Recommended hook size is 3mm (US D/3, UK 11). If it works up too loosely, go down a size. If it looks too bunched up, go up a hook size.
