Light as a cloud, this cozy cowl is fun to knit and to wear. The pattern begins with Cat Bordhi’s moebius cast-on, and is worked in the round from the center out. The textured stitch pattern is a combination of seed stitch and wrapped cluster puff stitches, with a simple 8-stitch, 8-round repeat. The MC and CC yarns are held together for the seed stitch portions of the cowl, then the CC yarn is dropped and the MC yarn is used by itself to work the wrapped stitches. The marled effect from combining the MC and CC yarns creates a visually-appealing fabric, and also helps to obscure the 1/2-stitch jog across the central cast-on line. The stitch pattern is completely reversible, which works with the moebius construction to create an accessory that looks great from every angle. When the cowl has reached the desired height, the CC yarn is cut and the MC yarn is held double to work a reversible 3-stitch i-cord bind-off.
