NOTES:

  1. Afghan is made from 8 Strips: 2 each of Strips I and III, and 1 each of Strips II, IV, V, and VI
  2. Each Strip is worked in sections of Slope and Mesh patterns. Refer to the Strip Diagrams to clarify the pattern sections.
  3. Each Slope pattern is worked in 2 colors over 6 rows. Rows 1­3 are worked with the first color and slant in one direction; Rows 4­6 are worked with the 2nd color and slant in the opposite direction.
  4. To change yarn color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Proceed with new color. Fasten off old color.
  5. Strips are sewn together following a diagram to make the Afghan.
